Charlotte Church's Dream Build to be a healing retreat after estranged dad's death and step-dad's devastating illness
msn.comWales Online reported that Charlotte admitted she's taking a massive risk as she begins her journey renovating fashion designer Laura Ashley's former mansion in Powys, called Rhydoldog House.
During the first episode Charlotte revealed she'd poured her life savings into the project which needs to be completed by June 2022 in order to meet the summer season and start making revenue.
The singer said: "If we don't get it done by the start of June I'm up sh*t creek without a paddle! I'm in a lot of trouble. "Dad's death and step-dad's illnessCharlotte's late-father Stephen Reed was not involved in her childhood and, when mother Maria married her second husband in 1999, James Church, he adopted Charlotte and she took his last name.
The singer is very close to her step-father, who was sadly diagnosed with AL amyloidosis, a condition similar to blood cancer, in 2019 and is living with the terminal illness.
