When Charlie Rowley picked up a perfume bottle from a charity shop bin - he had no idea of the danger he was in. Charlie came home to his flat in Amesbury, Wiltshire, and gave the gift, which was labelled 'Premier Jour', to his girlfriend, Dawn Sturgess on 30 June 2018.

Dawn sprayed what was inside the bottle on her wrists, and within 15 minutes, she was fitting and foaming at the mouth. After finding Dawn in the bath, fully-clothed, in a very ill state he phoned an ambulance and she was taken to hospital.
