Former Celtic star Charlie Nicholas has urged the SPFL to take the chance being provided to them to improve the game in Scotland.
And he warned that the organisation needs to take power away from part time clubs in the lower leagues and focus on improving the game in the top flight.The outspoken pundit reckons it's time that the ambitious clubs are looked after first although he admits he does have sympathy for part time teams who can't afford full time football.
But he reckons the SPFL have to grasp the opportunity in front of them and improve the standards of the league. He reckons that doing so in the top flight will help throughout and the improvements will drip down the divisions.
