EXCLUSIVE: Charlie Gillespie (Julie and the Phantoms) and Sterling Beaumon (Your Lucky Day) are attached to star in Shattered Ice, a New England hockey drama from director Alex Ranarivelo.
Written by Jake Misken, the film finds the high schooler Mankus (Gillespie) more lost than ever following the unexpected loss of his best friend Danny (Beaumon) to suicide, as his alcohol consumption intensifies and his mental health declines.
Set to round out the cast of Shattered Ice are Oscar Wahlberg (Manchester by the Sea), Pat Shea (Behind the Cage: The Real Life of a College Hockey Player), Cole Tristan Murphy (The Holdovers), and Kyla Kenedy (The Walking Dead).
Dan Sheldon, Ben Stephen, Christopher Nelson and Misken will produce, with Christopher Roberts serving as executive producer.
