Charli XCX has announced details of a new version of ‘Brat’, which is set for release next month.Since its release in June, Charli’s sixth studio album ‘Brat’ has gone on to make some huge waves across the music industry and become a pop culture phenomenon.As well as climbing up the charts and becoming the soundtrack to the summer – creating the ‘Brat Summer’ craze – the album has also gained fans from the likes of Vice President Kamala Harris, former POTUS Barack Obama and NATO.It was also given a four-star review by NME, with Hannah Mylrea describing it as “painting a picture of who XCX is in 2024.” “Growing pains, grief and aching doubts come alongside self-confidence, celebration and the knowledge of the place XCX holds in the musical landscape,” it read.Now, while the singer has confirmed that ‘Brat’ summer has officially come to an end, she has also revealed that a new version of the record is on the way.
She shared the news on Twitter/X earlier today (September 12), confirming that ‘Brat and it’s completely different but also still brat’ – which appears to be a remix album – is coming out October 11.The artwork is along the same lines as the original ‘Brat’ album, but shows the writing placed to the right-hand side and inverted.
Based on the Spotify pre-save page, it looks like the project contains 16 songs, of which five are previously released remixes of songs from the original tracklist.Brat and it’s completely different but also still brat – Out oct 11.
