Charles Ingram
Charles William Ingram (born 6 August 1963) is an English novelist, computer repairman, and former British Army major who became known for being accused and convicted of cheating on the television game show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? in 2001, after winning the maximum prize of one million pounds. Following a lengthy trial at Southwark Crown Court, he was convicted on a single count of procuring the execution of a valuable security by deception. He was convicted of an unrelated insurance fraud in 2003, and ordered to resign his commission as a major by the Army Board.

Charles Ingram has launched into a rant at Chris Tarrant after the start of ITV's Quiz, the drama about the Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?

cheating scandal. Ingram has called the TV presenter "deluded" for accusing him of cheating when he won the £1million prize in 2001.

The scandal saw Ingram and his wife Diana accused of plotting to take home the money by getting their alleged accomplice Tecwen Whittock to cough in the audience to help him choose the right answer In a series of tweets, Ingram accused Tarrant of only deciding he was guilty after he watched a tape in which the coughing was made more obvious after editing.
