A charity is urging people to donate their Christmas gifts to help support those living with grief and approaching their end of life.

Sue Ryder, a palliative and bereavement support charity, is accepting everything from books to clothes. Items can be donated at local Sue Ryder shops.

If you want to donate furniture, the charity has its own collection service that can be booked via its website. The charity was started just after the Second World War and has over 400 stores across the UK. One person’s trash is another person's treasure, so it's definitely worth donating your well-meant, but as yet un-loved items. "Not only are you cutting down on waste, you’ll also be helping support people dealing with grief or facing a terminal illness, all the while decluttering your home as you prepare to kick start 2024."
