Chaos as M62 closed for hours after lorry crash causes spillage with one taken to hospital

The M62 westbound was closed off by emergency services between J11 and J12 from around 10.45am, after the two lorries were involved in the major collision.
Pictures taken moments after the smash show the two lorries left badly damaged in the centre of the carriageway, with one of the vehicles forced over onto a grass verge.
All four lanes were shut with paramedics and firefighters working at the scene.
