The Get to You artist performed the national anthem ‘O Canada‘ on Thursday’s game at TD Garden in Boston, earning boos from the audience as she took a shot at the opponent with some adjusted lyrics.
Instead of the lyric “true patriot love in all of us command,” Kreviazuk sang “that only us command,” sharing a photo to her Instagram Story of the lyric written on her hand.
At recent NHL and NBA games, Canadian fans have booed ‘The Star Spangled Banner’ after U.S. President Donald Trump imposed 25% tariffs on imports from Canada and Mexico, as well as 10% on those from China.
