Chanel Maya Banks has broken her silence after she was found safe. The 36-year-old actress was reported missing by family after they had not spoken to her in a couple weeks and her husband wasn’t being cooperative with them.

However, she was then found safe with no injuries or foul play being suspected, according to TMZ. Now, Chanel has shared a lengthy statement on Instagram, explaining where she was and slammed her family for lying to the press about communication.

She also claims abuse at the hands of her mother and step-father.
