Neil Lennon

Neil Francis Lennon (born 25 June 1971) is a Northern Irish football coach and former player who is the manager of Scottish Premiership club Celtic. During his playing career he represented English clubs Manchester City, Crewe Alexandra and Leicester City.

Lennon moved to Scottish club Celtic in 2000, where he made over 200 appearances and was appointed captain in 2005. Before retiring as a player, he returned to England and played for Nottingham Forest and Wycombe Wanderers. Lennon made 40 appearances for Northern Ireland in nine years, scoring two goals. Lennon was appointed manager of Celtic in March 2010, initially in a caretaker capacity after the departure of Tony Mowbray.

Premiership leaders Celtic have received a stirring send-off from supporters ahead of their blockbuster clash with Rangers.

The Green Brigade brought support and pyro to the club's Lennoxtown training base ahead of the big one at Ibrox. An image shared on social media shows the first-team stars heading to the edge of the East Dunbartonshire complex to salute those who have wished them well.It's not the first time the Ultras have headed to the club's training base before a big match, as they did the same before Neil Lennon's side were defeated 2-0 to Rangers in the first league game last season.

But there's expectation among those of a Celtic persuasion that Ange Postecoglou and his players will produce against the Premiership champions this time around.
