East Kilbride boss Kevin Rutkiewicz admits his side need a ‘mad, kamikaze run’ if they are to pull off a Lowland League title triumph this season.Despite a strong display against Celtic B where new signing Kyle Connell hit a debut double, a 2-2 draw with the Hoops youngsters at K-Park on Saturday means Kilby are now 10 points off of new league leaders Tranent, with a game in hand, and nine off second place Spartans with one game up their sleevesWith Kilby sitting sixth in the table, it looks like a tall order for the 2019 champions to reclaim the crown but Rutkiewicz isn’t giving up hope.He said: “We had the Celtic game down as a must-win and we came very close.“But if we keep performing like that, I am confident we will pick up points.“Teams are stretching ahead in front of us so we are just going to have to put together a mad, kamikaze run.“The boys are up for it though.
