Sir Elton Hercules John CH CBE (born Reginald Kenneth Dwight; 25 March 1947) is an English singer, songwriter, pianist, and composer. He has worked with lyricist Bernie Taupin since 1967; they have collaborated on more than 30 albums. John has sold more than 300 million records, making him one of the world's best-selling music artists. He has more than fifty Top 40 hits, as well as seven consecutive number-one albums in the United States, 58 Billboard Top 40 singles, 27 Top 10 singles, four of which peaked at number two and nine of which reached number one. His tribute single "Candle in the Wind 1997", rewritten in dedication to Diana, Princess of Wales, sold over 33 million copies worldwide and is the best-selling single in the history of the UK and US singles charts. He has also produced records and occasionally acted in films. John owned Watford F.C. from 1976 to 1987 and from 1997 to 2002, and is an honorary life president of the club.

Celine Dion reportedly suffered huge loss of £60 million earnings as health woes continue

Celine Dion, 54, was forced to postpone her Las Vegas residency last year too after being dogged by "severe and persistent muscle spasms", which reportedly resulted in millions of dollars of earnings lost for the superstar.

Her condition, combined with the pandemic, means she has been unable to perform live for more than two years, although she hopes to hit the stage again in 2023.Celine has been a firm favourite on the Las Vegas music scene, with numerous shows over the past 12 years netting her an impressive £560.9 million.Just two residencies in the entertainment capital saw her beat the revenue of top stars Elton John and Cher.Back in 2003, her A New Day show earnt her more than £317 million due to its huge success with fans.The bilingual star, who published an apology in both English and French at the time her latest show was postponed, has been devastated about the cancellations.However, Celine hinted that the long period of non-performance could be about to come to an end when she announced 2023 European tour dates.She is expected to kick off her Courage tour on 24 February in Prague, Czechia and to continue performing around the continent for eight months.However, fans hoping to see her in the US are still sorely disappointed, as there is no news on when the rescheduled residency dates will take place.Celine suffered another traumatic blow upon learning that her beloved former publicist, Francine Chaloult, had died back in May.She had been close to the 82-year-old following years of working together, and even regarded her as "mom".In a dramatic tribute, Celine took to Instagram and asked Francine to "kiss" her late husband René Angéli for her when she reaches heaven.The star also vowed to be one of those working.
