Celebrity Gogglebox viewers praised UK Eurovision entry Sam Ryder on his debut on the Channel 4 programme. The musician – who finished runner-up to Ukraine in the international music competition last month – joined DJ Scott Mills on Friday's episode.
Ryder was among the famous faces to turn armchair critics as the regular Gogglebox cast takes a break. He helped review programmes including Hunted, Bargain Hunt and the latest series of Stranger Things.
But some viewers said an opportunity had been missed in the choice of which part of the BBC's Platinum Party at the Palace was aired.
While the celebrities were tasked with commenting on a sketch featuring the Queen and Paddington Bear, some thought it would have been amusing for Ryder to comment on his own performance outside Buckingham Palace.
