Cedric the Entertainer and Paramount Pictures’ Michael Ireland and Wife Jay to Be Honored at Lupus LA’s Cuisine for a Cause
variety.comMarc Malkin Senior Editor, Culture and Events Lupus LA will honor Cedric the Entertainer as well as Paramount Pictures’ Michael Ireland and his wife Jay at the organization’s Cuisine for a Cause in April in downtown Los Angeles.
Rheumatologist and Lupus LA Medical Advisory Board member Dr. Wesley Mizutani will also be honored at the event. Cedric will be honored with the Loop Award, which recognizes prominent members of the entertainment community for their commitment to philanthropy and advocacy.
The Irelands will receive the Ellis Community Leadership Award for their unwavering support of Lupus LA’s mission since Jay’s lupus diagnosis in 2016, using their platforms to raise awareness and advocate for patients and their families.
The Medical Visionary Award will be presented to Mizutani for his dedication to advancing lupus care, supporting patient advocacy, and serving in leadership roles for major arthritis and autoimmune foundations.
