losangelesblade.comLOS ANGELES – In a report released Wednesday, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found that wearing a cloth mask over a paper medical type mask can substantially reduce exposure to potentially infectious aerosols, which are the principal threat of coronavirus transmission.
In the report CDC findings included the fact that adjusting a medical mask to fit more tightly can provide similar protection.
The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health announced on Wednesday that it is expanding its efforts to commence COVID-19 vaccinations for some of the County’s teachers, food workers and first responders in two to three weeks.
