CCTV images of masked man released after assault on Scots train

Cops are hunting a masked man in connection with an assault on a Scots train. The man was travelling on a a train from Balloch to Old Kilpatrick on Tuesday 25 July 2023 around 10.25am when the incident occurred.Officers are keen to speak to the man in the images and are appealing to anyone who recognises him to come forward.Images show the man wearing all black on board the train, carrying a bag.He is described as white, medium build, aged between 30 and 40, short light brown hair.At the time of the assault the man was wearing a black jacket with a hood, black trousers/jogging bottoms with a red stripe down each side, black trainers and carrying a black bin bag and black rucksack.He was also was seen to wear a black face mask.A spokesperson for the British Transport Police said: "Anyone with information is urged to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 and quoting reference 2300086261."Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be passed anonymously."
