There has been a change of plans for CBS’ planned spinoff series of the FBI franchise. It was previously announced that the network was planning an FBI spinoff with a CIA twist and that the spinoff would be introduced through a backdoor pilot.

For those who don’t know, a backdoor pilot is when a network introduced a spinoff by planting a storyline on the mothership series.

The new characters for the CIA series were going to be introduced in episode 19 of FBI‘s current season. New plans have been made! Keep reading to find out more… Due to a delay in casting, the producers of FBI were going to put the backdoor pilot into episode 20, and then episode 21.
