Cate Blanchett Wins Best Actress at Venice Film Festival Closing Ceremony, Taylor Russell Honored with Young Actor Award!
justjared.comThe closing ceremony for the 2022 Venice Film Festival just took place and the awards winners have been revealed. Cate Blanchett and Taylor Russell both took home some of the top prizes at the event on Saturday (September 10) in Venice, Italy. Cate won the Best Actress award for her work in Tar while Taylor won the Young Actor award for her work in Bones and All.
Also in attendance at the event were jury members Julianne Moore and Tessa Thompson, model Elsa Hosk, and Bones and All director Luca Guadagnino, who won the Silver Lion for Best Director. Colin Farrell won Best Actor for The Banshees of Inisherin (though he wasn’t present at the ceremony) and Martin McDonagh won Best Screenplay for the same film.
