Some actors arrive in a TV show and never seem to leave. Actors like EastEnders' Adam Woodyatt (Ian Beale), plus Coronation Street's William Roache (Ken Barlow) and Neighbours' Stefan Dennis (Paul Robinson).
Others come and go but definitely make their mark, such as Casualty's Jonathan Kerrigan, who played the BBC medical drama's bleach blond-haired nurse Sam Colloby in the late 1990s.
Having made his screen debut in the video for the Chemical Brothers' 1995 single Life Is Sweet, Jonathan first arrived on our screens in Casualty when Sam turned up at Holby City Hospital's A&E ward in 1996 for an interview.
He got the job and went on to become one of the show's most likeable characters. Openly gay, Sam was involved in several personal and work dramas connected with his sexuality, including finding out that a female car crash victim was secretly dating his boyfriend.
