Caroline Flack thought being forced to quit Love Island could be good for her, Laura Whimore has claimed. The TV presenter, 34, had replaced Caroline as the host of Love Island after her arrest for assault by beating on her boyfriend Lewis Burton.

In one of the last times they spoke, Caroline told her that having to leave the show might help her "work through" her problems.

Just two months later Caroline took her own life at the age of just 40.
