Carole Baskin
Carole Baskin (born June 6, 1961) is an American animal rights activist and owner of Big Cat Rescue, a non-profit animal sanctuary based near Tampa, Florida. Baskin drew public attention when she was featured in the 2020 Netflix documentary series Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness about Oklahoma-based private zoo operator known as Joe Exotic. The Netflix series follows both Baskin and Joe Exotic, filming their ongoing and escalating feuds over exotic animals in private zoos. Following the series' release, Baskin has been targeted by Internet memes related to the disappearance of Don Lewis, her second husband.

Carole Baskin gives update on employee whose arm was almost torn off by tiger

Tiger King star Carole Baskin has given an update on her employee who suffered a horrific injury from a tiger at her sanctuary on Thursday.

Carole, 59, appeared on Loose Women where she spoke to hosts Jane Moore, Nadia Sawahla and Kaye Adams. Volunteer Candy Crouser, 69, almost lost her arm after she broke protocol by sticking her arm into a tiger named Kimba's cage.

Carole said: "She is recovering in the hospital, it looks like they were able to save her arm, and we were so thankful of that. "I hope to get an update from her husband today, but as you can imagine, with Covid, we can't visit her, only one person can go in and that's him.
