Countdown star Carol Vorderman, 59, broke down in tears as she discussed Mother’s Day on her self-titled radio show yesterday.The mother-of-two read out a touching poem written by a 10-year-old and paid a tribute to her late mum Jean, who died three years ago.Carol began reading the poem in a chirpy voice, telling listeners: “This is a poem written by a 10-year-old.“When I was a baby, my mum looked after me, she change my dirty nappy every time I had a wee.“When I was wide awake and wouldn’t go to sleep, she would gently rock me until there was no peep.”The Countdown star began to well up as she continued the poem.She added: “I love her very much because she is my friend and when I need some cash all my money she will lend.”The Countdown.
