Carol Kirkwood suffers 'nightmare' hours before going live on-air on BBC Breakfast

Carol Kirkwood, 59, has shared how her morning didn’t go to plan earlier today.The BBC Breakfast presenter admitted she suffered a “nightmare” on her way into the studio.Carol shared the news with her 216,000 followers this morning as she lamented the traffic.She penned: “Nightmare journey into work this morning!“Usually if the M40 or M4 is closed (in parts) I can switch to the other...this morning they were both closed!“I have travelled through places I have never been before!“Thank goodness for sat nav!!!xxx”One concerned follower then reached out to her asking what this means for her journey home.Carol Allsopp wrote: “Does this mean another nightmare getting home?”The weather presenter then replied: “Hopefully they will be open by then Carol.Thank you xx.”Many of Carol’s other followers also weighed in on her journey, sharing their support.George Girven added: “It’s times like that when sat nav is worth it’s weight in gold … (sic)“Whereas the alternative of pulling over and searching through a road atlas using only the interior light, gives one the shudders.
