Carlo Ancelotti has persuaded James Rodriguez he can put his Real Madrid nightmare behind him at Everton. Everton are in advanced talks with Real over a £31million deal for Rodriguez and Ancelotti has spoken to him.
Ancelotti brought Rodriguez to the Bernabeu in 2014 and has never lost faith in the Colombian striker, despite his struggles.
The Blues boss, who also managed him at Bayern Munich, has told Rodriguez of the club’s ambition and how he can play a key role in their revival.
