Carl Woods faces trial as he pleads not guilty to abusive and threatening behaviour charge

Carl Woods will face trial in court after pleading not guilty to using threatening, abusive behaviour under section 4 of the Public Order Act at Colchester Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.

Katie Price's fiancé, 33, was charged last month, following an incident in Little Canfield, on 22 August 2021. If found guilty he could be sentenced to a maximum of six months in prison.

Woods only spoke to confirm his name and age before entering a not guilty plea in court. He wore a black T-Shirt and jeans of the same colour as he appeared in court.

During the hearing, prosecutor Leigh Hart told the court: “On the evening of the 22 August 2021 the defendant got into an argument with his partner at his home address. “This resulted in his partner leaving his property to go to another property. “The defendant followed her and attempted to force the door of that property and was heard shouting outside in the street.” Mark Davies, who defended Woods, told the court the incident was "nothing more than a squabble".
