Car wash event to collect toys for Coatbridge foodbank

A big-hearted Lanarkshire business is preparing for its annual festive toy drive – offering luxury car washes in return for to donation of Christmas gifts for Coatbridge foodbank.Blackbeard’s Detailing will run the special event from 10am to 2pm this Sunday, December 4, at their premises on Deerdykes View at Westfield industrial estate in Cumbernauld.Drivers are asked to bring along unwrapped toys in exchange for the car wash service, worth up to £30, with all donations going to the Coatbridge good cause.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

All of the items will be donated to Coatbridge foodbank, who provide week-long supplies of groceries to local residents, and who have seen demand for their services soar this year.
