A car that was ploughed into a pregnant woman who later lost her baby in hospital has been found in Bolton, police have confirmed.
The pedestrian, a woman in her 30s, was left seriously injured after being struck on Station Road, in Bamber Bridge shortly before 8pm on Sunday (September 29).
She was rushed to hospital from the scene and underwent emergency surgery to deliver her baby boy, who tragically died a short time later. It was later recovered from an address in Bolton. A teenager boy, aged 19, from Walton le Dale in Lancashire, was arrested on Wednesday night (October 2) on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
