A man was taken to hospital after a crash in the early hours of the morning in Oldham. The smash happened on Manchester Street, near the junction with Frederick Street and where the road merges into Manchester Road, at around 12.35am on Tuesday morning (March 28).
Police and paramedics rushed to the scene. The man suffered head and back injuries, a spokesperson for the North West Ambulance Service said.

It appeared to have collided with a traffic light. In a statement, a spokesperson for NWAS said: "We were called at 00.38am on Tuesday morning to reports of an RTC on Manchester Road in Oldham.
