Dramatic pictures show a car engulfed in flames on a Scots road after the passengers were able to escape from the vehicle. The lucky travellers managed to flee from the car, which caught fire on the A92 near Kirkcaldy, Fife, on Friday evening shortly before 9pm.
And after they managed to get free from the vehicle, flames ripped through it, resulting in police and firefighters racing to the scene.
Images posted by Fife Jammers show thick smoke billowing out the vehicle.The road was closed as the blaze took hold.Firefighters then extinguished the blaze and the road was reopened.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers were called to a car on fire at around 8:45pm on the eastbound A92 close to the Kirkcaldy West junction on Friday, 10 June, 2022. "The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service quickly dealt with the fire and the carriageway was reopened soon afterwards.
