Captain Tom Moore to be recognised for raising millions for NHS

Captain Tom Moore will be recognised for raising millions for NHS, Downing Street has said. Their response comes as around 500,000 people signed a Change.org  petition  calling for the 99-year-old to be knighted.

Mr Moore, a war veteran, has captured everyone's attention in the last week after his challenge to raise £1,000 by completing 100 laps of his garden before his 100th birthday took off.

At the time of writing, Mr Moore had raised more than £18 MILLION for NHS Charities Together. He also completed his challenge on Thursday but has said he will carrying on walking.
