Captain Tom Moore is officially the oldest person to ever get a No1 single. His rendition of You'll Never Walk Alone, recorded with Michael Ball and the NHS Voices Of Care Choir, has made it to the top of the charts just in time for the war veteran's 100th birthday.

It's yet another much-deserved victory for Captain Tom, who has raised more than £28 million for the NHS by walking laps of his garden during the coronavirus pandemic.

The single was released last week on Decca Records in his continued efforts to help the NHS. Captain Tom, 99, has become a symbol of hope and unity across the UK during these uncertain times.
