Caolan Boyd-Munce was as relieved as the Saints support when he heard his gaffer Stephen Robinson had signed a contract extension.
That’s because the Buddies midfielder believes continuity is key when it comes to breeding success. Robinson’s impressive results in the Paisley dugout last season saw him linked to manager vacancies at former club Luton Town and his native Northern Ireland.
Those links came and went, with Robinson and number two Diarmuid O’Carroll both agreeing new three-year deals last month to further demonstrate their commitment to St Mirren.
Saints midfielder Boyd-Munce believes keeping hold of the pair was brilliant business as the club look to build on their historic top six finish last season.
