Camilla is a 'positive influence' in making King Charles a 'hands on Grandpa'

Royal expert Katie Nicholl has revealed that King Charles' wife of 17 years - Queen Consort Camilla - has been a “hugely positive influence” on the King, 73, in encouraging him to get closer to his grandchildren.The royal author tells OK!

that we saw a "hands-on" side of Charles, 73, during June - when the nation celebrated the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. She revealed four year old Prince Louis asked to sit on “Grandpa’s knee”.

She added that Prince William and Kate Middleton's children - Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis - often play hide and seek in and around his favourite bothy never Birkhall - his and 75 year old Camilla's home on the Balmoral estate.

Katie went on to say that the royals are entering a new era after Queen Elizabeth II's death, and it seems they are taking a down-to-earth approach. “Queen Elizabeth II’s success and popularity was rooted in her ability to adapt and evolve in the modern world,” notes Katie. "And it seems her family are very much following suit." It comes after royal expert Jennie Bond told us Camilla knows exactly what King Charles "needs" and why she is his "rock".
