Charles, Prince of Wales (Charles Philip Arthur George; born 14 November 1948) is the heir apparent to the British throne as the eldest son of Elizabeth II. He has been Duke of Cornwall and Duke of Rothesay since 1952, and he is the oldest and longest-serving heir apparent in British history.
He is also the longest-serving Prince of Wales, having held that title since 1958. Charles was born at Buckingham Palace as the first grandchild of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. He was educated at Cheam and Gordonstoun schools, which his father, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, had attended as a child. Charles also spent a year at the Timbertop campus of Geelong Grammar School in Victoria, Australia.
Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall and Princess Anne were seen supporting Prince Charles at the Braemar Gathering Highland Games. This comes after it was reported that Prince Harry, 37, and Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, 41, declined 73 year old Charles' invitation for them to stay with him at Balmoral while in the UK this week.
In the photos, Charles can be seen laughing with his sister and wife while sporting a Scottish kilt. Anne's green outfit was finished with a red hat and white tights, while Camilla was dressed in green also and black boots.
Harry and his father have reportedly not been on the best of terms since Harry stepped down from his royal duties and moved to the United States with his wife.
An insider told the Mirror: “He hasn’t wavered, despite the attacks, which seem to be coming with increased vigour. “The Prince of Wales reiterated his invitation for Harry and Meghan, and the whole family if they wished, to come and stay with him this summer while he is at his home on the Balmoral estate. “He thought it might be a good opportunity for everyone to take stock and relax, but the invitation was declined.” Last week, Meghan did a tell-all interview with The Cut Magazine, where she spoke about life after stepping down from royal duties.
