Cambuslang Library relocation talks with council bosses advance after funding withdrawal

Talks to relocate Cambuslang Library are taking place after South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture (SLLC) decided to withdraw all funding.The board of SLLC approved proposals which would see the organisation withdraw its services from both the Cambuslang and Halfway libraries, as well as five others across the region.For around three more months, the seven libraries affected by SLLC rationalisation will be kept open using Community Fightback Fund money from the council.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
