Cambuslang boxing club O’Neil’s are demanding answers from South Lanarkshire Council after almost two years locked out their Westburn Community Hall home.Coach Brian Murphy has sent emails to the council asking why repairs scheduled for November haven’t been completed.The club haven’t had a response as to why this is the case and are left in the dark over when they will return to Cambuslang.O’Neil’s currently use Priestfield Gym in Blantyre after roof damage at Westburn prior to the March lockdown due to Covid in 2020.Murphy’s club are losing members to rivals because of the lack of availability in Cambuslang, and he said: “There won’t be anything else happening in terms of competitions for the rest of this year, I wouldn’t think.
