A Callander man was last week given 180 hours’ unpaid work for attacking a police officer and threatening officers in the town’s Main Street.William Gordon, of McLaren Terrace, had admitted charges of assaulting a police constable in Main Street on July 13, 2020, and behaving in a threatening and abusive manner there.The 24-year-old had pushed the officer on the head and body and challenged officers to a fight.The fiscal depute told Stirling Sheriff Court that police had received a report concerning a male in Main Street at 6.30pm on July 13, 2020.When officers approached Gordon they saw him take a drink from a bottle of tonic wine.He immediately became hostile shouting: ‘Am I being detained?’The officers asked him to calm down and stop
