The minimum price of alcohol in Scotland should be upped by 15p to 65p per unit, according to the Scottish Lib Dems. Alex Cole-Hamilton, Lib Dems leader, has also called on Nicola Sturgeon's government to link the rise in booze to inflation so "the value of the policy does not decrease over time".
The plea comes at the start of Alcohol Awareness Week which takes place from November 15 to 21. Earlier this year, on May 1, Scotland marked three years since minimum unit pricing was introduced in Scotland.
