Caitlyn Jenner has sparked backlash after her brutal response to the news of the death of OJ Simpson, who passed away on Wednesday, 10 April, following a battle with cancer.

OJ's family announced his death on Twitter on 11 April with a statement that read: "On April 10th, our father, Orenthal James Simpson, succumbed to his battle with cancer.

He was surrounded by his children and grandchildren. During this time of transition, his family asks that you please respect their wishes for privacy and grace. -The Simpson Family." After his death was made public, Caitlyn Jenner, 74, formerly known as Bruce Jenner, responded with a savage statement on social media, that read: "Good riddance OJ Simpson." One fan hit back: "I don’t think I’ve ever been so “IDGAF” about anyone dying before," whilst another wrote: "No he was a good man." Fans of the Kardashian family, which includes Kourtney, Kim and Khloe, will remember that Caitlyn was married to family matriarch Kris Jenner for 22 years, from 1991 to 2015.

In 1994, Kris' best friend, Nicole Brown-Simpson, was found stabbed to death alongside her friend, Ron Goldman, outside her Los Angeles home, with OJ named as the prime suspect.
