Caitlyn Marie Jenner (born William Bruce Jenner; October 28, 1949) is an American television personality and retired Olympic gold medal–winning decathlete.
Jenner played college football for the Graceland Yellowjackets before incurring a knee injury that required surgery. Convinced by Olympic decathlete Jack Parker's coach, L. D. Weldon, to try the decathlon, Jenner won the men's decathlon event at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal, setting a third successive world record and gaining fame as "an all-American hero".
Given the unofficial title of "world's greatest athlete", Jenner established a career in television, film, writing, auto racing, business, and as a Playgirl cover model.
Caitlyn Jenner, 71, is letting people know “California is worth fighting for” in her very first political campaign ad.
The former Olympic gold medal-winning decathlete is running to be the state’s next governor in a potential recall election against Governor Gavin Newsom this year and revealed her reasons for entering the race as well as her plans in the new video, which she debuted on Good Morning America on May 4. “WATCH: I came here with a dream 48 years ago to be the greatest athlete in the world.
Now I enter a different kind of race, arguably my most important one yet, because California is worth fighting for!” she wrote in the caption for the tweet that shared the ad.Read more on hollywoodlife.com
