Caitlyn Marie Jenner (born William Bruce Jenner; October 28, 1949) is an American television personality and retired Olympic gold medal–winning decathlete.
Jenner played college football for the Graceland Yellowjackets before incurring a knee injury that required surgery. Convinced by Olympic decathlete Jack Parker's coach, L. D. Weldon, to try the decathlon, Jenner won the men's decathlon event at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal, setting a third successive world record and gaining fame as "an all-American hero".
Given the unofficial title of "world's greatest athlete", Jenner established a career in television, film, writing, auto racing, business, and as a Playgirl cover model.

Known as Bruce Jenner until June 2015, Caitlyn had gender reassignment surgery in January 2017. Esther had always been supportive of her transition, even in her older years.
She once said: "It's nothing she asked for, it's a condition and it starts in the mother's womb. "Esther had previously slammed Keeping Up With The Kardashians, which shined a spotlight on Caitlyn's famous family.
In an interview, she said: "I wasn't fond of that programme. There was no plot, and why it was such a hit I'll never know. ""When your child becomes, oh golly, world-famous, it's very difficult for a mother to put them in that category, she's not a celebrity to me, she's my kid. "She added: "It's just very difficult, but I'm no different than any other mother, I love my kids. ".
