Caitlyn Jenner has shared some sad news. On Friday morning (April 21), the 73-year-old Olympian and former reality star announced that her mother Esther Jenner had passed away the day before.

She was 96-years-old. Keep reading to find out more… “I am heartbroken to announce my mom passed away yesterday morning, peacefully,” Caitlyn wrote on Instagram. “Losing a mother is unique in the sense that she is the only person that loved me my entire life.” Caitlyn continued, “I will miss her tremendously.

She was a few weeks shy of 97 and lived a full life. Love you mom.” Along with her message, Caitlyn shared a few photos with Esther, including one photo with her older sister Pam Mettler.

While they haven’t shared any public comments yet, Caitlyn‘s daughter Kendall Jenner and former stepdaughter Kourtney Kardashian both liked her post.
