New Wigan Warriors recruit Cade Cust had no qualms about being thrust straight into a military training camp following his arrival in the UK.
The Aussie half-back has joined Matty Peet’s new-look side from Manly Sea Eagles on a two-year deal with the option of a third year.
He landed in England last week and then spent two days at Altcar training camp near Formby, where Peet’s troops undertook a range of activities centred on team-building and leadership.
Cust told Rugby League Live: “It was pretty tough, but it was enjoyable and spending two days with all the boys was a great way to get to know everyone. “They put us through a few things to test us physically and mentally, and I was still pretty jetlagged. “I was waking up at two o’clock
