Cadbury has issued a warning over a potential scam aimed at accessing people's information. It comes after the company was alerted to posts being shared on social media promising consumers a free Easter Chocolate basket.

Parents in Manchester were among those to receive the posts from people thinking they were benefiting from a free treat. Stating 'Cadbury FREE Easter Chocolate Basket' the link took people through to a website and asked them to submit their personal information.

But this afternoon, Thursday, the company has sent out a notice warning people about the scam and urging them not to share any details.
