Five men have been jailed after a spate of burglaries across the north west. They targeted high-powered vehicles and valuable jewellery in a string of break-ins.
They included nine burglaries in east Warrington between August and November 2023. During one of those break-ins jewellery and a calendar were stolen from a home.
The calendar was marked with details of the resident's Lake District holiday. The gang travelled to the victim's holiday home and stole their car. READ MORE: Moment Jet2 passenger is hurled off plane by police at Manchester Airport The gang were identified using CCTV.
They also left mole grips at one of the addresses which were tested for DNA and came back matching that of Alex Higson, 28, of HMP Liverpool.
