Join thousands of others in getting the stories that matter to you sent straight to your inbox.Supermarket giant Aldi has revealed that it’s aiming to open 20 new stores across Scotland - including in Dumbarton and Helensburgh.The budget chain, which currently has 96 stores in Scotland and 900 across the UK, is looking for suitable sites for new stores - with Dumbarton and Helensburgh targeted as potential locations, on a list that also includes Bishopbriggs, Clarkston and Dunblane.Aldi are on the lookout for sites either in town centres or on the edge of towns for their development, with each site ideally being around 1.5 acres and on a main road with space for a 20,000sq ft store and 100 parking spaces.The supermarket already has a branch.
