A domestic abuse thug battered his partner just months after being freed from jail for beating his pregnant ex-girlfriend. Craig Paul Thomas was jailed in 2013 for attacking Charlotte Rooks with hammers at his flat in Cardiff and forcing her to eat photographs of her dead loved ones.In June this year, he finished his 10-year sentence and quickly began another controlling relationship.

The brute, 42, moved in with a woman he had met in 2018 when he had spent six months out of prison - before he was recalled to jail for breaching his licence. He attacked the woman in Nant-y-moel, causing her actual bodily harm, and engaged in controlling and coercive behaviour against her between July and September, Wales Online reports.Cardiff Magistrates' Court heard that the fiend had been banned from the city and had "nowhere to stay" when he was released in June.

He moved in with his new partner "with her consent" on July 11.Mike Curry, prosecuting, said: "Initially things were good but he was only due to be there on a temporary basis, which turned out to be permanent.

The longer they were together the more things started to go downhill."On September 6, while she was driving him back from an appointment, Thomas threw a bottle of Lucozade at her, after she complained about him throwing a wrapper out the window.
