It’s a dream venue for any musician — just, without the deafening cheers of 38,000 fans. Bruce Springsteen and American Celtic punk band Dropkick Murphys will perform together at Boston’s Fenway Park for a free livestreamed event called “Streaming Outta Fenway.” The gig will be broadcast worldwide on Friday, May 29 at 6 p.m.

Eastern time on the band’s Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and Twitch channels, and DropkickMurphys.com. But the musicians won’t exactly be sharing the stage.

The Boss plans to beam in from a remote location, while the Dropkick Murphys will be present in the 108-year-old ballpark. The two acts will alternate songs in a special “double play” concert.
