The brothers behind a new Lake District restaurant are celebrating after receiving a Michelin honour just six months after opening.
The Schelly in Ambleside has now become the only restaurant in Cumbria to be given a Bib Gourmand title in the new Michelin Guide 2025.
Brothers Ryan and Craig Blackburn, who also own the neighbouring Michelin Starred The Old Stamp House in Ambleside, discovered that they had been presented with a Bib Gourmand for The Schelly by the Michelin Guide.
The Schelly describes itself as "fine dining without the faff" and can fit up to 30 diners. It is named after a rare fish that can only be found in some of the famous waterways of the Lake District.
